Hydrozincite 121g

From Chihuahua, Mexico.

We love the story of this mineral. It is a white carbonate mineral of zinc that is pearly white. Also known as Zinc Bloom, Hydrozincite grows on Selenite where the latter eventually dissolved leaving behind Hydrozincite to continue to grow in harsh environment. Some of the pieces show very clear imprints of Selenite that used to exist. Some also have stalactite formation.
