Quartz with such shine & lustre is known to come from Zeca de Souza mine in Brazil. The mine was closed for 30 years before it reopened and now it is closed again. We’re so lucky to connect to the right source to be able to get our hands on the reserves (of whatever little they have left!)

Zeca de Souza pieces like these have beautiful diamond sparkle and many rainbows due to multiple contact of points that grow atop of each other creating a uniquely thin cluster slab like this. Some may have chlorite inclusions too.

We're loving how the points are chunky & long in this thin cluster. Some parts are super transluscent with so many rainbow sprinkles. Spot the beautiful self-healed etchings on one of the large points. So hypnotising piece this one!

The shape of this formation is so versatile! You can choose to display it as a heart shape cluster (first pic) or change the orientation and it becomes fishtail/mermaid tail. It's so magical!
